Time to Blog!

With some small changes in life, I’ve found I have some time here an there and thought I would start blogging. It’s not my intent to draw a crowd or spam anyone, I just want to have a place to “put it down”. Thanks for stopping by. I’ll try to be regular about this, but that isn’t my strong suit.

My latest venture started about 6 months ago when I took a trip to Tulsa for some training for work. I was approached by a co-worker about paint pouring and if I could incorporate cremation ashes into a paint pour. I’ve read all about it and thought that a better way to memorialize the ashes was in resin. Well… that was one product I was a little scared of honestly. Precise mixing… math… and me? That just doesn’t add up.

Ever since, I have been testing, mixing and trying different methods to see how to get it just right. There really isn’t a just right. Each piece ends up going it’s own way, and that’s okay.

In the very near future I will be posting some pieces I have been working on.

Also! I’ve set a date for a 1st ever Make-It Beaded Spider night. The idea is to have the attendees pick their own beads and I’ll be available to string their creations. Putting together details for that as well. So many irons in the fire! I love being creative.
